LlamaFloofs Otome Washi Tape, Keychains, Stickers, Gachapon Shakers, and more! | Merch Review

LlamaFloofs continues to impress with her latest release of high-quality, adorable otome merchandise. I previously wrote a review after Squishylama – the artist behind the LlamaFloofs name – made some updates to her products and designs last year.

But now she’s back again! And with a whole new range of otome games and love interests to choose from. Added to the list are Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei (including side characters!), Dairoku: Agents of Sakuratani, Even If Tempest, and more!

You can check out the rest of the review below for more information, or if you’ve heard enough already, head straight to the LlamaFloofs store on Etsy to browse her wares. Tl;dr, you simply can’t go wrong with merch from LlamaFloofs.

Gachapon shaker charms

Note: I’ve left the protective film on for the photos since I’ll be moving soon and I don’t want them to get scratched in transit, but the creases on the Dairoku shaker will disappear once I remove the film ♥

The first thing I notice was how carefully packaged each item was. It’s no wonder that everything arrived without so much as a scratch, and the personalised thank you card is a nice touch to make it feel like you’ve ordered merch made by a person, not a faceless company.

The gachapon shakers are perhaps the best example of how much thought went into the quality of the product, not just the designs. These charms are some of the sturdiest acrylic products I’ve come across, and the layer of protective film – which can be peeled off – protects them from scratches while in transit.

I adore these shakers; they’re pretty, tough, and can be used as either a keychain or a stand (each one comes with a base it can slot into to stand upright). Plus, they’re functional! You can shake them up and see which LI lands in the slot as your “prize”.

If you’re a fidgety person like me, I recommend keeping them around your workspace so you can give them a little shake whenever you need something to help you focus, or even when you just want to see your favourite LI’s heads rattling around a gachapon. Either way, they’re cute *and* entertaining, and I can attest to the quality.

They’re the priciest thing on the LlamaFloofs menu, but they’re also such a unique and fun idea for otome merchandise that they just feel special. If you’re in the mood for splashing out and spoiling yourself, you won’t be disappointed with these gachapon shaker charms.

Custom keychains

Pick and choose your faves on a custom charm and/or phone strap! You can pick characters from across multiple games, too ♥

The custom keychains are fantastic – as with the gachapon shakers, they’re high quality in terms of materials and design – but I also love being able to choose ANY combo of love interests and MCs. It’s a wonderful idea, especially since you can mix and match across different otome games to create the wildest combos of your dreams.

The keychain I ordered includes Noritsune (Birushana), Hira (Dairoku), Witch of Ruin, and Tyril (Even If Tempest). It’s an eclectic mix of love interests, but I love each and every one of them… and now I can love them all in the same place!

I will admit, I get nervous about using keychains as ACTUAL keychains, since I don’t want them to get scratched or damaged in my bag. Instead, I use drawing pins as a hook and loop them on those, so I can display them as part of my otome wall collage alongside my prints, badges, and other merchandise.

Washi tape, stickers, and more!

My collection of cuties~ I got all the new sticker sheets, but I’m leaving them packaged for now for safekeeping ♥

I originally discovered LlamaFloofs when she advertised her otome washi tapes. I use washi tape a lot to put prints and other artwork on my walls in a collage, so when I saw the otome designs, I knew I had to have them!

I’m planning on moving soon so I haven’t unravelled these tapes yet and taken them for a spin, but even as they currently are they look great with my tape collection, and it’s a fun way to get all the designs from a game in one place.

If you want to collect them all, but bigger, the sticker sheets also feature all the husbandos from a particular game, but the designs are larger than they appear on the tape. I’m always too scared to stick stickers somewhere, so I’m actually planning to use the washi tape to stick the sheets up as they are, as though they’re a print in my otome collage. At least for now, that is, until I work up the courage to put them somewhere more permanent.

Unfortunately I can’t show any of these items in situ right now, but once I have a new place sorted and I’m settled in, I’ll set up my new otome shrine and share some pics on our Sweet & Spicy discord server! We have a dedicated channel for merchandise, so you can check it out for inspo and recommendations, or even just to ogle the seriously impressive merch collections people have posted in there.

Final Thoughts

If you’re on the hunt for some high-quality otome merchandise featuring adorable chibi head designs of your faves, I highly recommend LlamaFloofs. You don’t have to worry about the products not living up to their promo pics, and these designs are all originals by Squishylama, so there’s no fear of accidentally supporting someone tracing or stealing designs from someone else.

In an era of AI art and NFTs, it feels good to know I’m supporting a real artist making real products with real heart and creativity. Plus, have you seen the Okazaki Kei design? With the little sleeping mask? Adorable. ♥
