Welcome to ‘Current Events: Mobile Game Mondays’! Each Monday, we post an update on the currently available events for a selection of mobile otome games, including Tears of Themis and the Ikemen Series.

We let you know where to find the events, how long they’re open for, what sort of rewards you can get, and the type of gameplay you can expect. If you have recommendations for titles you’d like included in Mobile Game Mondays, feel free to let us know!

This week, several of the events we covered in our previous post are still ongoing, but there have been a few new events opening! Ikemen Prince has released a Birthday Story Sale event for Yves Kloss, as well as a new gacha banner featuring a new 5-Star card of Chevalier with exclusive voiced lines.

And, if if you’re looking for more spicy content, then Ikemen Vampire has a new story event that’s about as spicy as you can get, with the entire theme revolving around dominating and being dominated by vampires. Ikemen Revolution has also opened a new gacha banner in their Suited Pairs series, which offers exclusive cards featuring different pairs of Cradle’s ikemen, including some steamy bath time scenes…

New Events

Ikémen Prince

Yves’ Birthday: Year 1
Story Sale (Birthday)
Finishes: 30th September (9:59 AM JST)

Event Features: Celebrate Yves by purchasing one of the available ‘Birthday Sets’ from the Ikemen Prince in-game store. As the game was only released recently, this is the first time players are able to celebrate Yves’ birthday!

Event Rewards: There are three sets available; Premium, Deluxe, and Mini. The Mini set contains the exclusive birthday story, photo, and 3-Star card, all titled ‘Let Me Love You’, as well as a ‘BDay Ribbon’ for your avatar.

The Deluxe set contains the same photo and card, but the story is from Yves’ POV, rather than MC’s. It also contains the same attire, as well as a ‘BDay Dress’.

The Premium set contains everything from the other two sets (including the story from both perspectives), plus the 5-Star ‘Bday Year 1 Yves’, which, judging from the preview, seems to be a chibi Yves with a cake for decorating your room.

Gacha Event
Finishes: 30th September (9:59 AM JST)

Event Features: A limited-time, sword-themed, gacha banner with three event-exclusive cards. These cards won’t be available in the permanent card pool, so you’ll need to roll for them in this event for a chance to get them!

Event Rewards: There are three cards exclusively available in this event, but other cards from the permanent collection are still available in this gacha banner, so rolling doesn’t guarantee one of the event cards.

The 3-Star card is of Luke Randolph, the 4-Star card is of Licht Klein, and the 5-Star card is of Chevalier Michel. The higher the rarity, the lower your chance of getting the card, however the 4 and 5-Star cards come with voiced lines and more dramatic art.

Ikémen Vampire

Your Wish is My Command
Story Event
Finishes: 20th September (9:59 AM JST)

Event Features: This is a story event, so for a limited time you can read three available routes (Mozart, Napoleon, and Arthur), each with two endings and an epilogue. You don’t need chapter tickets for events, but there will be frequent checks where you’ll need a certain score to proceed, so make sure you keep up with the love battles!

Event Themes: Chains, keywords like ‘obey’ and ‘command’… this event story is basically a BDSM fantasy feast. It looks like there will be a mix of dynamics, with opportunities for MC to be both dominant or submissive, but if you have a distinct preference it may be worth reading the story preview before choosing a route to get an idea of what to expect.

Event Rewards: There are rewards for completing routes, collecting endings, and raising your point score through love battles and items. There are also rewards for rankings, which are based on your total score, so even once you’ve completed routes you will need to continue doing the love battles to increase your ranking, if you’re going for some of the ranking rewards, that is.

These rewards include exclusive cards, a lot of attire which is all themed around the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, and some items, including free diamonds.

Tips: If you’re just interested in the story, then I recommend picking one and only aiming to complete that, as the later intimacy checks can be difficult to pass. I definitely recommend getting started as soon as you can, and making sure you complete the love battles whenever your stamina allows, as well as adding event friends to get maximum bonuses. If you’re running short on time and you don’t want to spend money, then I don’t suggest choosing the premium ending, as the intimacy checks are pretty difficult, even after you’ve selected the ending.

If you want the other rewards, be prepared to either burn through your stockpile of acquired stamina-replenishing items or make a few purchases in the store. There are lucky times to help maximise the amount of points you receive, but if you want to rank, there are going to be players spending large amounts of money to get the top spots, so it’s difficult to compete if you’re completely free to play. There are discounted sets available during the event, however, so you can get some decent rewards without spending too much.

Ikémen Revolution

Suited Pair Match VI
Gacha Event
Finishes: 30th September (6 PM PST)

Event Features: Collect cards featuring not one but two ikemen in the Suited Pair gacha series. Three new cards (with new pairings!) have been introduced, and previous Suited Pair cards have been brought back for a limited time.

Event Themes: Other than the fact that two characters are featured in the art, there isn’t any particular theme linking the cards together. Some are battle scenes, other cute moments in day-to-day life, and other steamier cards feature the Ikemen Revolution cast in the bath.

Event Rewards: The three new cards feature Edgar and Luka, Sirius and Ray, and Jonah and Lancelot. There are eleven 5-Star cards returning, and six 4-Star cards available as well. There are also multi-pick bonuses at 10, 20, and 30 pulls, with no duplicates, meaning that by 30 pulls you will have received all three of the multi-pick bonuses (saved stories that relate to each of the three new cards).

Tears of Themis

Mysteries of the Lost Gold
Story, Collection, Minigames, Gacha, Log-in
Finishes: 27th September

Event Features: Unique event story, exploration mini-games, rewards for collecting event resources, log-in bonuses, and a new gacha banner, ‘For Hearts and Mysteries’.

Event Concept: Marius is hosting a treasure hunting event on his newly-acquired private island. The fictional island of ‘Nosta’ is currently uninhabited, but contains relics and ruins from an ancient civilization, as well as a more modern prison and the headquarters of a previous archaeological expedition.

Furthermore, there are rumours of hidden treasure from the legendary ‘Great Gold Heist’, which seems to have sparked a conspiracy amongst some of the treasure hunters, involving relics, murder, and betrayal…

Event Rewards: Due to the collection bonus aspect of this event, there are far too many rewards available to list. However, the major rewards include a new ‘invitation’ for the home page featuring the NXX team around a campfire, four new SSR cards and four R cards, all fitting the ‘treasure hunt’ theme, and plenty of card upgrade items, energy drinks, and the event-type Tears of Themis (Pursuit).
